ECHOES OF A RANSOM/DEBT speaks to  the bicentenary of the debt imposed on Haiti by Charles X in exchange for recognition of its independence. Through symbolic works, the project reflects on colonialism, legacy, resilience, and the enduring relationship between Haiti and France, opening a space to consider justice, repair, and renewal.
