Mildor Chevalier is a Brooklyn-based Haitian visual artist. Born in Haiti in 1982, he has lived and worked across the Caribbean and the United States, experiences that inform his interest in identity, place, colonial residues, memory, and belonging. His work merges and transforms fragments of places, memories, and lived experiences into ambiguous, landscape-like spaces that he calls “situationcapes.”

Chevalier’s work has been exhibited internationally in museums, galleries, biennials, and triennials, including the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in the Dominican Republic (2015); the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art in Wisconsin (2021); the New York Latin American Art Triennial at Pace University Gallery (2022); Artrium Mori Museum in South Korea (2024); and the Musée du Nouveau Monde in La Rochelle, France (2025).

His work is held in private collections across the Caribbean, the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
